If you’re looking for an excuse to get out and enjoy Chicago this weekend, consider this your list!
From planes overhead to a brand-new Formula 1 experience just around the corner, there’s a lot happening in and around River North - and we love having HUB116 right in the middle of it all.
✈️ CHICAGO AIR & WATER SHOW | AUG. 15–16
One of our favorite Chicago summer traditions is back! The Air & Water Show takes over the lakefront Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 AM–3 PM, with aircraft already making their presence known during Friday rehearsals.
We’ve even been able to see and hear some of the practice action from HUB116 this week. If you hear that unmistakable roar over River North… look up! ✈️
🏎️ F1 ARCADE CHICAGO | OPENS AUG. 14
This one is especially exciting for us.
F1 Arcade Chicago officially opens TODAY at State & Grand - and F1 Arcade is part of the HUB116 family. ❤️
The new River North destination brings Formula 1 racing to life with racing simulators, food, cocktails and a rooftop terrace.
It’s officially time to find out who in your friend group thinks they could be an F1 driver. 😂🏁
🍝 TAYLOR STREET LITTLE ITALY FESTA | AUG. 14–16
A little farther from River North but worth adding to the weekend list: Taylor Street’s annual Italian celebration returns with food, live entertainment and plenty of neighborhood energy.
Friday festivities begin at 5 PM, with Saturday and Sunday starting at noon.
🌇 AND THEN THERE'S RIVER NORTH ITSELF…
Grab brunch. Walk the Riverwalk. Find a patio. Explore a gallery. Stop for dinner. Catch the planes overhead. Try somewhere you’ve never been.
Sometimes the best weekend plan is simply picking a neighborhood and seeing where the day takes you.
And this weekend, Chicago is giving us plenty to work with. ❤️
We might be a little biased, but there’s something pretty great about working at HUB116 and stepping outside to all of this.
